Training Licences for 2006 – FINAL CALL !

Many training organisations are looking for courses to bolt onto their current provision for 2006.  They are seeking training which not only allows them to build their business but which gives them a competitive advantage in the marketplace plus an additional income stream.

Diversiton is offering specialist training licences for 2006 to suitable training partner organisations throughout England, Scotland and Wales. If you would like to secure a geographical area with exclusive delivery rights then this may be an ideal opportunity. The marketplace is immense with the recent E.U. legislation and requirements placed on organisations.

Licences are available to deliver ‘Religion and Belief' (a Diversiton programme) or 'Disability and Equality' (from Gallant2000). Both of these respond directly to recent E.U. diversity and equality legislation and the emerging case law. You will be working with the market leaders in both fields.

As a Partner Organisation you will receive a licence which enables you to arrange and deliver established training programmes within an agreed territory. As part of the comprehensive support package we will train you or your staff to deliver, provide all training materials and offer marketing support.

Information packs can be downloaded along with details of areas still available and application details. The remaining areas are being offered at a fixed price and on a ‘first come, first served' basis (subject to our normal quality criteria).

Please see www.diversiton.com - We look forward to working with you in 2006!

Legal update - Christian doctor 'was forced out'

Here is an interesting case from the BBC's website by Frances Gibb...

'An eye specialist has accepted undisclosed damages after claiming that he was forced out of his job by Muslim colleagues. Joseph Erian took the United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust to an employment tribunal, stating that he was made to resign from the ophthalmology department of Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, after staff there discovered that he was a Christian. The tribunal, which started earlier this month, ended when the trust offered an out-of-court settlement and admitted that the problems surrounding Dr Erian’s case “were not his fault”.

Dr Erian pursued his claim privately after the British Medical Association refused to back the case, Jane Jelly, his lawyer, said. He brought his case under the Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations 2003, which make it illegal to discriminate against someone on the grounds of their religion or beliefs.'
