Diversity Christmas Card

Instead of sending Christmas cards this year Diversiton along with other organisations is making a donation to Corporate Goat projects.

http://www.thecorporategoat.com/12.html

Thank you everyone for all your support, input and assistance in 2007 - it is much appreciated.

Kind regards

Des McCabe

Note from The Corporate Goat

It would be great if your organisation could support Corporate Goat projects this year.

Why not send out our email Christmas Card (with YOUR organisation name) to those on your Christmas card list? You'll be making a contribution that will literally change lives.

All you have to do is email us (info@thecorporategoat.com) with your organisation name and we will send you an email card - with your name and some photos - ready to go. It's that simple!

Monies raised through our Christmas Card this year will be put towards micro-finance loans for villagers living in extreme poverty in the North East region of Ghana. All organisations participating will be credited on the Corporate Goat website.

Please note that all cheques should be made payable to AfriKids (registered charity no 1093624) and sent to

About micro-finance grants

Micro-finance grants, literally, help extremely poor people take the first important step onto the ladder that allows them to climb out of poverty. Income generation projects vary widely - from breeding pigs, goats, sheep, guinea fowl and other livestock to a wide range of small businesses such as hairdressing, weaving, production of foodstuffs, and a wide variety crafts, furniture and shop fittings. Local people know what they can sell; they just need help to take that first all important step that will enable them to help themselves.

Micro-finance grants are given in the form of interest free loans. Repayment schedules are agreed and almost always delivered. Once the money is re-paid, it is given as a loan to another family - so the loans contributed by your organisation will, eventually, help many more poor families. The loans also have a knock on effect in income generation within the community as people buy and sell.
