The Diversity Calendar The Diversity Calendar is the leading annual diversity and equality publication in the UK and Ireland. The calendar which is produced by Diversiton, has grown in sales year on year over the last 5 years. The calendar is a practical resource for all staff and each month includes details of all the main religious and secular dates including bank holidays. The calendar helps managers and supervisors to ensure that staff meetings and organisation events are not planned for dates when key sections of the workforce or customer base cannot participate (e.g. because of religious holidays). We also know that numerous trainers use the calendar to support their diversity and equality training. As well as all of this, the calendar is an ideal and cost effective way to promote an organisation’s commitment to diversity and inclusion – to staff, to clients and to the wider community. Many organisations for example, provide a calendar for each member of staff, some offer the calendar at events/exhibitions and others send out the calendar at Christmas time. Many organisations also make the calendar available on their own website and so provide a quality resource for their staff. For a one-off inclusive fee all staff can access the calendar online, irrespective of the number of employees. This online option provides a very cost effective diversity management resource for around £9 per week. A wide variety of organisations order calendars in advance each year and by doing so are able to have their logo and/or name included in the calendar when it is printed. These organisations become major sponsors, partners or supporters – depending upon the number they order. As well as all of this we get orders from the general public who have learned about the calendar through our website or from their friends and colleagues. Up to now Diversiton has promoted the Diversity Calendar through its website www.diversiton.com and through email shots to our contacts.

Throughout 2008 Diversiton will be appointing carefully selected individuals and organisations to liaise with clients on a more local basis and promote the calendar more widely. Our aim is to create a trusted professional network across England, Scotland and Wales. These organisations will help us to build links with public and private sector organisations, promote awareness of the calendar locally, meet with training and diversity managers and arrange suitable retail outlets to stock the calendar.
