- Vincent Cable MP, Business Secretary, UK Government
Jobs for life' are indeed long gone. ''Work it Out!'’ will propel you forcibly out of the wilderness. Keep your mind open and your outlook flexible and prepare to design yourself a life which aligns with your personal values, capitalises on your strengths and puts you in control, now and forever more.
- Carol McLaughlin "WorkSmartPlayHard"
'Work it Out!' is a gateway to the new world of working – with us having mix and match careers that can suit the people we work with and suit ourselves, in helping to achieve rewarding work situations that are mutually beneficial.
- Paul Andrew, University of Sunderland
Wow, I've recommended 'Work it Out!' to my sister, my friend and 3 people at work already! 'Work it Out!' has helped me to think of work in a whole new way. If you're employed you need it as something in the future could change this dramatically. 'Work it Out!' gives a vision for a future where we work differently and it’s inspired. Highly recommended!
- P. Quershi
A viable alternative to Job Search. For many this will be the best investment they will make.
- Stephen Alford, Fujitsu Services
There is no doubt about the ascendance of technology and the shift in how we live and work. Many of us are facing the reality of fewer available jobs. But in uncertain times, we still have choices - and 'Work it Out!' helps us figure them out. This seminar is brimful with practical ideas, techniques and soul searching exercises.
- Joan Browne.
A challenging and thought-provoking approach for anyone looking for a career change or for anyone in the process of thinking about a career portfolio and achieving more satisfaction out of working and playing. I would recommend 'Work it Out!'.
- Carolyn Lee, Herbert Smith LLP
'Work it Out!' presents an extremely pragmatic approach to addressing the current unemployment and jobs crisis. 'Work it Out!' encourages personal empowerment and is a brilliantly simple solution for our times.
- Richard McQuillen
'Work it Out!' offers an alternative to the traditional view of work life balance. I would recommend 'Work it Out!' to anyone looking to take personal responsibility for their income generation and who finds the competitive and solitary model of `self employment' off putting.
- Simon Bland, Reigate Banstead Borough Council
The first thing that becomes apparent about 'Work it Out!' is its practability. Des McCabe has a vast knowledge of the world of self development and training. 'Work it Out!' will help many people to get more out of themselves and their life and help them make a greater contribution.
- Ted Garratt, Director - Target Resources (HR Services) Limited.
'Work it Out!' opens your mind to new possibilities and highlights that we need to find out what we want and then start building how we can achieve this, rather than trawling websites to see if someone wants what we have to offer.
- J.Smith (London), Money Advice Trust
Brilliant! Three words came to mind about Des McCabe's 'Work it Out!' 'fresh, exciting and real'. I thoroughly recommend 'Work it Out!' for those who are stuck... in a JOB looking for a way out, or without a JOB looking for a way in and everyone who is wandering between and not sure how to make sense of the journey. Des McCabe has drawn THE map of the new world of work and it's a pretty useful one.
- Don Smyth, Mindstyle
Des offers a clear guide to how individuals can re-build career out of individual pieces of work and integrate them both with each other and with other aspects of their lives. In difficult economic times, 'Work it Out!' offers a solid practical model to get back to work.
