  'Work It Out!'

Community Sustainability Programme

Training Facilitators required (2 further positions)

The Work It Out! Community Sustainability programme enables voluntary and community sector bodies to become fully self sustainable within twelve months. Diversiton is looking for one further facilitator to help us to deliver this highly acclaimed programme in 2012.

The 10 point Work It Out! blueprint for creating sustainable community based organisations

Old voluntary sector funding models are no longer sustainable particularly in the current economic climate. Community based organisations are recognising this and begining to create new approaches which are not just based on grants. The pie isn't big enough to support everyone. As one Project Manager said recently 'we really need to bake some new pies'.

The '10 point Work It Out! blueprint' is a process based upon the principles of Work It Out!. It shows voluntary organisations how to move from dependency, handouts and asking for grants to becoming self reliant - securing multiple income streams and becoming fully sustainable.

Quotes

'A real eye opening session! I learned so much - not just about income but how we should be building our organisation.'

'We needed to find a way forward for our organisation - and now we have a proper plan for 2012.'

'No one has ever detailed the income opportunities for the Voluntary sector like this before. The session was brilliant!  A totally different approach to the way we had been thinking.'

'The training was a real breath of fresh air - direct, realistic and practical. We worked out exactly what we need to do.'

'I feel inspired and motivated! I believe we can make a much stronger contribution to our community now'.

'We have the excellent 10 point framework -  and have started to work enthusiastically on this.  Every voluntary organisation needing income should be working to this.'

Can you facilitate voluntary bodies through this transition process?

Our Facilitators are passionate about making a contribution to local communities - helping to develop infrastructure, improve services and generate work opportunities for local people. They are ambitious not just for themselves but for the organisations they work with.

Our Facilitators support groups in a practical hands-on way guiding them and advising them through each stage of the transition process - and helping groups to realise the opportunities that are available. With our expertise, organisations are able to quickly generate multiple income streams and build a more robust financial infrastructure.

As our Facilitator you will also need excellent communication skills and be able to bring a particular level of experience and expertise to our team - in an area such as Marketing, IT, Local Government, Project Management, HR or Business Development.

This opportunity is also open to voluntary & community sector organisations who may wish to use this as an income generating opportunity. Your organisation can nominate a trainer to take on this role and this person should make the application.

Build your own training business - with our support

If you are looking for an opportunity to build your own training business, give something back or add a new income stream in 2012 then this could be ideal. Working as part of Diversiton you'll be able to build your own p/t (or f/t) training business quickly and securely in your area with this much needed service.

The Community Sustainability programme was developed by Des McCabe and he will be working alongside our new Facilitators to help them to quickly establish their first set of clients.  In particular there will be one to one monthly meetings to support you as you build your portfolio of clients. There will also be team sessions to share learning, develop new resources and explore additional opportunities.

Rewards

Our Facilitators are self employed and earn £500 per delivery day (from training, monthly support sessions & ongoing advice). You can expect to net £30k per annum (that's after the license and support fee) for 1-2 days facilitation per week.

Facilitators pay an annual license and support fee of £8,500 for initial training, ongoing support and an exclusive agreement to deliver this programme (which is only available through Diversiton). Facilitators keep 100% of all income from day one.

Rewards are much more than just financial. It's challenging and highly satisfying work - which can have an incredible impact in local communities. You'll also be operating at the cutting edge of community development as it evolves in these very challenging times.

About 'Work It Out!'

'A new approach to work and jobs which reflects the nature of the modern economy.'
- Vincent Cable MP, Business Secretary, UK Government

Employment is changing! Fewer of us have full-time jobs with final salary pensions, and the former assumption that if you studied hard you would get the job of your dreams no longer holds. Work It Out! will help you gain the skills, aptitude and confidence to adapt and prosper in this new world of work – whatever your age or background.

Rather than devoting all your time to one job – often to the exclusion of other interests – Work It Out! shows you how to find and create individual pieces of work with the help of personal contacts, the internet and other resources, and use these workpieces to build a career.

But this book is about far more than the process of working to earn money. It provides a template for making work fit into your life, providing an income and financial security, but also accommodating the needs of your family and relationships, and satisfying your personal ambitions. Let it guide you in creating a life that is truly fulfilling!
